About Us
Nathan F. Reeves Sr. Charity Memorial High School (NFRSCMHS) former Charity Community School System is (CCSS) one of the leading and most sought-after High Schools in Paynesville imparting quality education at an affordable cost.
MISSION
To invigorate a pursuit of knowledge in students that they keep on learning as they grow into whoever they choose to be.
Core Values
Our school is guided by a set of core values that form the four pillars of the school, namely:
- Exemplary Discipline
- Academic Excellence
- Leadership
- Outstanding performance in and out-of-class activities
History
Our vision is to “Educate, Enlighten, and Empower”. Over the past eleven years, this has been tested and proved to be effective and successful, and it has been accepted and appreciated by the community. The school which had a humble beginning in 2012, today has got more than 500 students and 64 staff members on roll.
As we complete 8 years of yeomen service, what comes to my mind is that “Success comes to those who work hard and stays with those, who don’t rest on the laurels of the past.”
We live today in a world that is so very different from the one we grew up in, the one we were educated in. The world that is changing at such an accelerated rate, tells us that as educators we need to pulse and reflect on this entire system of Education. Are our schools well equipped to prepare our children to face the challenges that the future holds? Question such as this is a factor that motivates us to go through a continuous process of reflection and hence, we at Nathan F. Reeves Sr. Charity Memorial High School must work at implementing a well-balanced curriculum to ensure that the children who walk into the portals of our school will not just love their school years but truly be prepared to face life’s challenges. It was Margaret Mead who said, “Children must be taught how to think, not what to think.”
Aristotle once said that, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” Even as we impart education to match the advancement in technology and globalization, we march our children ahead with CHARITY’S ethos of moral values and principles. We endeavor constantly to instill these qualities in our children. We pride ourselves on helping them grow and develop into sensitive and responsible citizens of the future.
We fortunately have a committed and supportive management, dedicated teachers, and caring and cooperative parents, which blend harmoniously to create a child-centric school, at Nathan F. Reeves Sr. Charity Memorial High School. It is natural to find in this ambience, the intensive use of a variety of thinking activities, strategies, and group dynamics so that the classrooms become alive.
Though COVID-2019 devastated many fabrics of all societies, and had numerous challenges, we have attained a milestone that marks our growth, unfolds our imaginations, and gives life to our thoughts and aspirations. Our added elaborate and illustrious library stocked with 22,500 books has been dedicated for the use of our children and those of other schools that desire to do so. I congratulate the entire hard-working staff whose dedication resulted in the success of our school at all public performances including WASSE and WAEC exams.

The year 2014 has been historic and also a very challenging year for all Liberians. Some of our students lost their parents to the Ebola Virus Disease epidemic that engulfed our country. To all those and the many families who also lost relatives and loved ones, we extend our heartfelt condolences.
As we emerge from a six month closures of schools in Liberia, we welcome back all our old students as well as the new students who desire to make use of our continual improving conditions at Charity Community School System. We further acknowledge and thank all the parents for their continue support and interest in the kind of work we are doing for the development of our community.
As part of our vision to provide quality affordable education in a clean and suitable environment, Charity embarked on the construction of a two story school building project which when completed will provide additional classrooms and spaces for other programs. We have further secured the services of Rev. Peter B. Gboeh, Jr. who has 29 years of professional experience as a Teacher and Principal and also 16 years as a renowned ordained minister of the Gospel. We are confident that with his wealth of experience backed by the quality of professional staff, we will bring the best to our students for the academic year and thereafter. Surely, we are privileged to have him and we stand together with the Board of Directors of Charity in welcoming Rev. Gboeh with his competent staff for the school year 2015.
We congratulate our Parents Teachers Association (PTA) for their level of support and as this year is lot more challenging due to the six month of inactivity for our students, we urge the PTA to work more closely with the school and students that together with the new administration, we will become victorious as we are presenting our first candidates of Ninth Graders for the West African Examination Council (WAEC) tests.
Though the challenges are numerous, but the blessings are untold because we continue to trust a God who does not fail in any endeavor and with Him above our rights to prove, we will o’er all prevail.
At Charity, we are committed to provide an affordable Christian education that will fulfill our motto: “LEARNERS TODAY, LEADERS TOMORROW”.
With His Blessings and Strength,
